I have the 38mm carb and it works 10 times better the the skock carb.
Hotseat headers and pipe, EPI Clutch Kit. K&M Fillter,ROLLER SECONDARY.

It took some work to get it working good but i have it working very good.
I will take it off and check all the setting and post them for you.

What is your altitude i'm at 380 ft ?

I have the Aaen TMX for mine also. The low speed stutter is common on that carb. Who put the cam and pistons in for you, and what did it cost you? What was the price tag on the head work? Looking at changing the cam and pistons also, just not sure as to the cost of having the shop work done. Festis will be waiting for your post.

Your pilot jet is too lean.

I have a 2003 Sportsman 700. I use it primarily for hunting in Ga. I have not been real pleased with the throttle response, had it in the shop shortly after I bought it and they adjusted the carb making it somewhat better. I read a post somewhere with a suggestion on how to make the carb perform better. I tried it and it worked. It went like this:
1. Remove top of carb, remove the rod and move the snap ring down 1 notch and reassemble
2. Screw in the adjustment screw on bottom of carb then open 2 1/2 turns.
3. Change spark plugs to Champions if not already in it

I have to tell you, IT WORKS!! Much better throttle response and much easier starting especially cold starts.
