Polaris 400 Plow question
#1
I picked up my plow for my new Sportsman 400 today. It is the Polaris plow. The directions are a waste. There are only direction for the plow frame. I have it all together but I can'f seem to figure out how to mount the manual lift handle. Can someone help here? I can't seem to find anywhere to mount the the main piece that the handle then fits into. HELP?? Nothing on Polaris web page either.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the idea. Nice site but unfortunately the mount is totally different than Polaris. Too bad Polaris doesn't have nice manuals like the ones on that site!! Oh well, guess I'll have ot take the 40 min ride tot he dealer.
Thanks again!

In the spirit of passing along information here is an update on the manual lift handle.
The Polaris Sportsman 400 now has an oil fill tube that makes it easy to put oil in. This is new to 2003 model from what I understand. The oil fill tube is in the way of the manual lift handle. The dealer is helping work through this issue. I will keep you informed if you are interested.

Final update. The dealer could not get the standard Polaris plow frame and lift handle to mount on the 2003 Sportsman 400. This is the Plow frame that connects tot he trailer hitch in the back. This was a really nice setup and I loved how easy it would be to put it on and take it off. There was just no way to fit the lift handle on with the oil filler tube in the way.
The solutuon was to get a different plow frame with the lift handle that mounts to the plow frame. This one has a mount point in the center bottom of the quad. It works just fine and I am very happy with the dealer service. Seems like Polaris made a little boo boo with this one. Kudo's to Polaris of Nashua, NH for making a tough situation bearable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a machine in the area.
Hope this helps someone.
