Default 700 exhaust Problem?

My bother and I both have 02 700's and while we were riding last night the exhaust pipes on both machines were glowing red from so much heat. We just got them back from the dealer for there first service. Is this normal or is there something wrong. Any help would be great. Besides this problem we've had no problems.

An over rich exhaust causes excessive heat in the exhaust. They may need to be jetted with a smaller jet. Also make sure there is not an small leak ahead of the muffler to draw air into the exhaust.

It allmost sounds like your running lean, not rich. A lean mix will make the engine run hot. Your either not getting enough fuel or to much air. Check your air box and make sure it's on right, or go up a jet size. You don't want a lean motor, won't last to long.

i'd guess a cracked intake manifold..making it run lean.
very common on early 2002 700's.
