Default Who has changed their settings on the Secondary Spring???

Anyone changed their secondary spring setting on the 325 TBoss. I have a Polaris Primary Green Spring installed. Just wondering what the effects of changing settings and which ones. I believe its 2/2 stock correct???

Secondary Springs affect shift speed and back shift. Stiffer springs (And Spring settings) have higher shift RPM and Quicker backshift.

And I'm presently thinking may cost you top end as a result of the decrease in efficiency of the tranny.

Don't stiffen the rear spring unless your engine seems to bog climbing hills and the like. Stiffening the rear (or installing a stiffer spring) will increase your engine RPMs in a given situation, but may not let it shift out all the way, causing a loss of top speed. Also, the belt should only have enough pressure on it so as not to slip. Any more than that will cause parasitic power loss (Shifting the clutches uses power from the engine. The more power it takes to overcome the springs/belt friction the less power you have to go to the wheels).

That's why you do like the rest of us and put a roller secondary on it and get increased efficiency with an unbelievable backshift.

You are right about that, Bubba!

Bro-in-law got the roller secondaries on his quads, and they really do respond better.
