rear axle bearing, how much grease?
If you're talking about a solid rear axle unit, I've found you really have to make sure to get as much air out as possible. Hand pack both bearings with grease, I prefer Slick 50's One grease, it has teflon in it....teflon is water's number one enemy. I install the left side bearing and seal, slide the axle through, then fill the entire carrier by initially hand packing some grease in from the right side (the bearing and seal are still out), then fill the remainder by servicing it through the zerk. Once you think you've gotten most of the air pockets out, install the bearing, and tap in the seal. If you don't work out the air, once you service the sealed bearings with the zerk, you'll displace the grease in the bearing, with an air pocket.
