26" or 27" on sp 700
#1
I'm putting on some new tires and rims for the 700, my question is, do I go 26" or 27". Also do I go Mudrunners or 589 m/s. Im putting the tires on the itp Magnums to keep the weight down. On the 589 there is a $55 difference between the 26" and 27". On the MR there is only a $20 difference, however there still $35 more then the 589's. I had MR on my last two sp500's and the rode great, but I also hear the 589's run great to. Money is not a problem, just want to get the best bang for the buck. I also don't want a rubbing problem either, but I am planing to do something with the front springs and get the Heelclicker clutch kit.

If weight is the problem, go with the 589's, they are supposed to be the lightest of the big tires. I have a set of the 27" vampires, myself. There is no rubbing or scraping of the fenders, even with those deep lugs! Top end is kinda bumpy, but no scraping.

Tire weights between the mudrunner and 589 are within a pound or two of each other (very close). Tread depth is 1 1/8 inches rear and 1 1/32 inches front for the titan 589 M/T. Tread depth is 1 inch front and rear for the mudrunner.
