Default 02 scrambler 500 rear brake question

Got about 50-60 hrs on it. The rear brake seems to be gone, putting all the load on the front.

Blead the system,,,,the pads are fine,,,,plenty of fluid.

the only noticable wear is right at the contact point between the foot lever and the cylinder plunger. Put a spot of weld to build it back up an strengthen it.

It got half way better,,,but the backs still dont work as they should.

Is there anything i'm missing?

Anyone dealt with this already????

Default 02 scrambler 500 rear brake question

Ran across the same problem with the wife's 01 Scrambler. The rear caliper is a unique unit. They have 2 stage pistons in each side that are controlled by the front and back. The rear quit working when one of the seals started by-passing fluid. Polaris does not offer a rebuild kit, so it was time for a new one. EPI now offers some rebuilding kits for them, but I dont have the catalogue in front of me to check.Hope this helps,Bubba
