Front right wheel not getting power
#11
OK, I got it fixed. It appears the problmem might have been two fold. The first thing I noticed is that the gap between the armature and the sleeve / magnet was not right. I adjusted the sleeve and that made a huge difference - but I still noticed that the magnet was not holding the armature plate as well as the other side. I looked at the spring holding the rollers in the cage and this spring (for whatever reason) had quite a bit more tension than the other side. So, I very slightly pulled on the spring to give it to take a bit of tension out of it and that seemed to do the trick. After spending a long time looking at these hubs I have determined a couple of things. 1) I really like the simplicity and 2) you better have a good armature and the right distance between it and the magnet. It does not take a whole lot for that magnet to let the armature slip when things are just slightly out of whack.
Thanks again to all the help.
