TL Predators arrive in Phoenix

hey sorry guys forgot i already had made a post with a few points
ok i see your point on that
just another little point since then if i get what your saying this 500cc engine has similar power to a piped rap would that not make it less reliable just a thought
cause i know a 240 blaster would be pretty fast but a stock shee would be way more reliable with similar power (according to bad blaster tho his ct240 can beat stock shees but whatever thats beside the point)

The 52 hp figure was published in Dirt Wheels, as they said Polaris claims that power level. They said it translates to about 45 hp at the wheels.
As for the machines, I found out my TLD machine wouldn't be here until Saturday for some BS reason so I told the dealer to KEEP IT. I went down and bought the silver one that they had in stock that somebody couldn't get the financing on.
It's now sitting in my garage after a 40 minute ride (all the daylight that was left by the time I got home with it).
At least this one won't show dirt and scratches nearly as badly as the black one. BUT, I'm still seriously pissed at Polaris and I will be writing them a letter.
I'll post a new thread with my impressions and link to photos.

PG,
As far as the decision of which quad to get goes, I myself think the Predator is superior to the Raptor with the possible exception of low end grunt. The piped Rap I rode had harder hitting power down low but I really don't ride at those rpms. The Predator has more mid and top end power. Despite the extra weight, my first impression is the handling is better than that of my 400ex. My poor little 400ex can't hang with the Pred at all in a drag, but it would be much closer in a tight woods setting. Whoops and jumps are another area where I feel the Pred would take all. I love my Pred so far and think it will definately win the next shootout. I would recommend getting the extended 4 year warranty for 500-600bucks. That will help in case there are first year quality issues. I haven't seen this much innovation in a quad in years. Here are a few perks:
Dual rate Fox rear shock with compression and dampening rebound.
Great feeling front Fox shocks with preload adjustment that can be done by hand.
The wear spots near your legs are now separate plastic pieces that when scratched from normal use, can be replaced independant of the platic fenders.
Frikkin Fast!!!
Handles Oh So confidently!
Douglas rims
Maxxis Tires
Strong Axle
Wide stance (hard to tip)
Steel braided brake lines = great stopping power
I honestly think Polaris has a winner on their hands. I hope it holds up (No problems yet

I thought that the 'Dale would win in the shootout between the Z400 and the Cannible too. but They gave the award to the Z! even though the Dale won every event in the shootout, it didn't have reverse so it lost!?!?!?! so does that mean that the Predator will lose too due to no reverse gear?? only time will tell........just my two cents worth....
