Default Reed/Rad valve

I need to know if anyone knows who makes a reed cage for a Trailblazer. What benefit will it make. Will a bigger carb make a bigger difference than the cage. I want to get the cage and carb but can only get one for now.

No one
It currently does not have reeds.
You would need a Reed conversion from HPD.
Talonhawk has one on his.

But to ancwer your question on a reed.
They basically give you better throttle response, A little more Snap.

Cant you unbolt the intake and bolt on a reed cage,or does it need a new head. I have seen reed cages for $150 in the dennis kirk catalog. Does the 400 have a reed cage? I thaught it was a simple bolt on part. Would the bigger carb be a better mod? I have been looking for a stock 400 carb. Talonhawk said he might have one for me. I figure a 34mm carb would make a big difference over the stock 30mm.

Sorry I logged in Under the ID I no longer use. No reason, Just wanted to change it.

A reed cage housing must be welded on to you Current cylinder.
Check out the HPD Reed conversion, I think they have a picture of the kit.
The 400 has reeds that yes, you can bolt on a performance set. but this is not the case with the 250.

I guess that I was a little confused about your reed/rad valve conversion
question. Hpd makes a Reed conversion for the 99-02 TB's. It was designed
by Moto Tassinari for the V-force Delta ll. This is what I have in mine.
X_scrambler3 has one from Bad Boys Performance that may use the Boyesen
Rad valve but I'm not 100 percent sure on that. But you have to send them
your head and cylinder to modify. I was very pleased with HPD's finish but
had some problems with fitting my 35mm PWK carb onto it.
Bad Boys Performance setup is probably the way to go for you sence you
already have alot of mods.

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!
