Well the test of alcohol today was a success.Best time and ET on the 1/8 mile asphalt drags before on race gas was a 8.77 at 73mph. Today the Sport ran a 8.42 at 77mph. I have seen watching the other wheelers that a gain of 1-2mph is extremely hard to accomplish when going this fast. This was also done running a 15-34 gear ratio. The 330ft et was a 5.25, and previous best ever on gas was a 5.51. The wheeler was running 5.2's on 300ft dirt before, so it should do alright now. It is completely rideable and I have a real hard time trying to keep heat in the motor. After a full 1000ft run and a trip back up the return road, I could lay my hand on top of the head and leave it there. So the cooling fan is going bye-bye. This stuff is awesome! Too bad we're going into winter Bubba

Sounds like a fun weekend. That cooling fan should've already been gone (water wetter)hehe. Wish there wasn't sooooo much overtime (gotta cover the Predator) or the alky/titanium/polishing would be done. What were you saying about winter?

Impressive. It sounds like your going to be the guy to catch. I to have a hard time keeping the heat in. I've found that my wheeler runs best after a couple of runs....even then I can hold my hand on the head. I've been thinking about ceramic coating the pipe. In cold weather, my Pol won't start easily unless I purge with gas. Sometimes between rides/races I will run some gas through the carb if I know it will be sitting and completely cooling down. A quick shot of either helps to get her going to. In warmer weather no problems. No way is my Pol play ridable. It might be that I'm a tad lean, but even when I jetted to the point of blubbering, it was way to radical to be riding in the woods. Sounds like you might have the best of both worlds. Have fun with the new found power.

Jay

Jay, I still dont think I will give you a good race on the sand. Those 11 paddle haulers hook up and go fast, not to mention the extended swingarm. If I didnt have the wheelie bars on it would flip right back over. Our local dragstrip should have his 300ft drags completed by springtime. We do plan on coming to your neck of the woods and trying it also. Bubba

Damn, Bubba! Alky on the 4-wheelers? Jeez, you and Johnny are true alcoholics with your 4-wheelers and his race cars! haha

We need to go riding sometime. I'm just now getting the hang of my SP700. We need to get together and see what kind of tuning we can accomplish on it.

Later,
Mark
