Requiem for a Sport...

300 bucks for reverse, yeah that is steep if that was it,but the liquid cooling is nice.I have seen them during the summer on the big bore EX's giving raptors hell up the hill. But boy do they get HOT.I sat beside a fella while his EX was cooling of in July, and you should've heard that engine making what ever noise it is engines make when they are shut down when they are hot.Tick Tick...........That noise. The EX is a fun quad, and do not care what the other quad owners say,it is fast enough to have fun.

StevieD,
A requiem is a song, story or opera for a departed loved one.
Dave Ruane,
Actually it borders more on heresy, than it does on blasphemy. You're right is was a nice Sport I doubt if the 400EX will even be in the same league, but it is much easier to take care of. After every ride I always spent an entire day cleaning, greasing and doing general maintenance on both the Sport and Trailblazer. Now all that is cut in half.
I tried to convince Celeste (my fiancee) of the merrits of going to another quad herself. She said she would "lay the smackdown on my candy ***" if I got rid of the Trailblazer. She likes it's wide stance and great stability over the narrowness of the Japanese makes. Oh well, hopefully she'll never come around to my way of thinking. She does love that Trailblazer!

Heck, sometimes smackdowns with the girlfriend are fun.....get your new quad, and some horizontal wrestling to boot Mine has her blackbelt, so no matter what kinda hockey move I try, here comes the boom!!! All in fun though.

Thanks Jim,
I'll keep that in mind. Right now, I want to get a bigger tank for the 400EX. I may not be as fast as you guys are (hence buying the 400EX) but I sure as heck will be still be riding when your tanks are dry. I was looking at one of the Clarke 5.5 gallon tanks for two reasons. The first is of course fuel capacity, and the second is added weight up front (this 400EX wheelies like my Sport before I put the longer swingarm on, so any added weight up front is a plus). So you were VERY right about the light front end on these things!
Hey guys!
For a good laugh, go to my web page at the link below. Just bear in mind I had nothing to do with it, Celeste does the HTML editing in the family.

Mike,
I'm surprised you didn't buy the latest Polaris.
But if you want a fun reliable quad you got it. My wifes 400 has been great. It's fast enough, easy to ride, smooth power, quiet & the maint. from a Polaris is WAY down.
I ride my wifes 400 sometimes as much as my DS. It's hard not to like the 400.
