When I went out to look for a new 4x4 quad,I would'nt think of personally owning a 4x4 without disk brakes, switchable 2wd-4wd and also a lockable front end and liquid cooling.I admit, the tranny sounds nice to,but im not willing to take a chance on a first yr quad, even if it is a Honda.Polaris has all the above.Though I do agree with ATVing about the brakes ect,I do wish we would try and get along somewhat better in here.I dont really think it matters what you ride, just so long you ride something,====BILL

I agree with Bill, we need to get along. I don't agree that Polaris is the best, but every has there own opinion, that what makes this a fun sport. Think about it if there was only 1 quad manufacturer, this sport would be very boring.

d#m guys aren't we touchy, sounds like some of you have some pms...some of you need to grow up, some people beat Polaris into the ground in the different forums but you don't see me crying and I don't accuse them of being idiots or starting trouble unless they come up with one of those winners post like "polaris sucks" or something to that nature, last time I checked you could post any topic in anyone of the forums, I didn't post this in the honda forum because of negative results and maybe I should have posted it in the general forum. Boy it is alright to talk about IRS of Polaris, or some bull story about the 4 wd system of the polaris, or the belt that supposedly slips or other things about Polaris. But lord don't make a fact based about the rubicon, and rancheres I didn't say anything about the rancher and the water cooling, I made a general statement about Honda not having water cooling that all the red riders bashed on for years and I don't know where you got the part about the 7 inches. One of the atv mags really ragged on Honda when they introduced the 450cc saying just about exactly what I said. Seems the honda riders religiously go by this mag. It wouldn't have offended me if I saw a post saying "Polaris came out with new bike nothing added except 1000 bucks to the price tag" I would have simply gave my comment and moved on, unless I didn't have an answer and didn't want to admit that with every bike honda comes out with they are steering more in the direction of profit instead of what the buyer is wanting. If this post offends you, you really need to grow up...funny JUST about nobody could answer the question I asked just rag on me for daring to say Hondas new flagship was nothing more than a fancy foreman. Funny it didn't offend Bill he gave his honest opinion and that was that unlike some others. This forum is like a tv if you don't like the channel your watching, change the d#m channel instead of crying how somebody is trying to start trouble waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Grow up guys quit acting like your 10 years old, if someone post a fact forum and you can answer it...well do so, instead of accusing the person who started the post of starting trouble or maybe there is no answer to this post and the only way to take the truth away from the question is to attack the writer. I seriously believe if honda put a motor on a wheel barrow and told how fantastic it was some would buy it and defend it. And to show that I am not a honda hater let me give you a example how to act here is my honest opinion, I would have bought a rubicon if it would have only had the 2 to 4 switch and I could have put lockers on it, honda in my opinion is the most reliable bike made, but I am not into standing out in my yard looking at my all mighty honda and saying "she might be behind the time but she is reliable" I am going to be buying a bike for the little lady I will be trading the 89 kaw. in or selling it and I was seriously thinking on getting her the rancher cause she likes it, but I don't think she is a idiot cause the features that are important to me are not important to her and the bike is built a little more smaller and would be easier for her to handle. All bikes have there short comings see if you can be grown up and accept this I can admit there is stuff I don't like on the Polaris and the AC I own, but I am mature enough to admit it seems everybody who rides a honda can't find anything wrong with them, they just like everything about the bike which is a bunch of sh#t. I am not apologizing for this post I just thought some of you could give me some honest answer or reasoning or maybe open your eyes why a brand new bike that is coming out doesn't have half of the features as some of the Polaris machines and is $1000 or more for the bike. Remember fellows opinions are like a##h@#$@ everybody has got one. I just really believe now from some of the answers on this post that the honda guys are embarrassed from what honda is bringing out...if they weren't they could have gave me an answer to this post...seems I really hit a sore spot that seems to be the truth.

This forum used to be friendly, It's surely losing that!

I know i have posted my fair share of opinioins. And it seems my Honda Lemon Topic started a fight when i didn't mean it to.

Let's just get a long..and maybe the moderator will delete this 'topic'

Lurch I do have my facts straight if I don't please inform me and I do not consider this bashing. I just wanted an answer why you would buy a bike that don't have half the features of other bikes not only Polaris and charge $1000 or more and not make hardly any improvements from the 450cc model. I never talked about anything being junk or it tears up or its not RELIABLE, I mean come on maybe there is something I am missing for the money on this new bike.

Why would the moderator delete this post Tb it is all fact there was no bashing in the original post geesh and some people talk about big brother watches you to much...I mean man this was only a post asking and comparing, I can't help it, if it is the truth about the Rubicon, I must admit though I am going to make a similar post in the general atv forum so we can get opinions from both sides and I want be accused of tucking my tail between my legs...some of you guys really take this stuff to seriously I love my bikes to but face it they are only machines which all of them have there short comings...yes even the polaris and the AC.

All this Keyboard bashing...... Ya know, the first time ther is a 500cc Polaris sitting side by side with a 500cc Honda here is one of the things that might happen...
The Polaris driver will bail off into a hole he KNOWS will swallow BOATS... the Honda rider will laugh because he got his belt wet, The Polaris rider will get his machine out..(maybe with a winch) The Honda rider will not even attempt the hole, but will spend the next 2 years talking about how that crappy Polaris got his belt wet..
This seems to be the case at every mudrun...
Not saying that the Hondas cant mud, it just seems that Honda riders will take the easier trail around rather than go thru the toughest part. I talked to a Honda Service Department Manager just today about the Rubicon.... He just shook his head and cringed at the thought of the service nightmares he is going to have, with the way people swamp out machines around here, mud, water, stuff somewhere inbetween, leaves, small rocks.... He was saying that he just couldn't understand WHY Honda would have put the Hydraulic pump in the Engine case with no access port/panel...
I think the Hondamatic will give Honda riders what they want in a machine.. Honda has NEEDED to up the cc's to stay competitive with the other manufacturers, liquid cooling is a welcomed sight, and i'm sure that for the most of ATV riders, the transmission will do great... I just worry about us Rednecks, our snorkels, and everybody at the hole trying to see who will go deepest before somebody drowns or flips one..
Anyway.. just a few thoughts..

Atving, when you say facts you should really say the facts according to Atving. How can you list prices for a Rubicon when there aren't any for sale yet. Nobody has even tested the rubicon yet. From the lengths of your posts you can't possibly do any riding your to busy typing meaningless **** on this forum. D.A.R.E to keep Atving off donuts and coffee

No sledder actually it didn't really take me more than 5 minutes on the longest post...you know about 60 wpm typing speed...and you never know I might have been typing it while I was eating donuts...know what I mean...the price was not meant to be fact I got the price from the honda forum and a review I read thats why used the word about in case you don't know the word about means around, close to, approximately, and by the way I get plenty of time to ride just wish I had more time with the 2 different bikes I own.
