I was wondering if anyone on a Predator has raced a raptor, ds650, or a cannondale, if so which one is faster?

 

I have seen Preditors beat Raptors, and vise versa. Also saw a Preditor beat a Cannondale speed. Have not seen a DS go against a Preditor. DS is supposed to be the fastest, although i have seen Cannondales beat a DS. The Preditor and Raptor are very compairable in speed. The top speed on the Preditor is a little higher. You are going to stir up alot of **** with this post. All the bikes are great and im sure everyone that has one of the above will say that they have beaten all the others. NOW PEOPLE this is stock for stock!!!

Congrats on the Preditor. It is one mean looking machine. Dont let people get to you because it's a Polaris.

 

That will of course depend on who you ask! Ask the Predator owner he'll say he's beat them all, ask a DS owner sure enough he beats them all, And the Raptor owner says he beats them all same with the Cannondale owner. So as you can see the fastest one is the one the guy your asking is riding!

I have not raced a predator, but I do know that the cannondales are faster than any other quad out there if you go stock quad against stock quad. I played a lot at a local drag strip before the cold weather set in and there are several raptors and z 400's, a few ds 650's, a slew of 400ex's, and more banshees than I could count. There were five cannondales and they were consistantly running much better times than any of the others. I know a guy that bought a predator and he said it was not as fast as the cannondale but the handling was excellent. He is a former mechanic at my local cannondale/polaris/artic cat dealer so he has rode the cannondales a lot and he got the first predator through the door. He said the power of the predator is a lot smoother than the cannondale, where the cannondale hits real hard from the bottom all the way through. I hope to line up with him before too long and see how they stack up. When I do I will give you some honest results. Win or Lose!

I was stock when racing the other quads but I have recently upgraded to the moto pipe and moto map. So now I run the same as the stock moto. The guy with the predator is getting a pipe and is re jetting it, so we will see how it goes.

 

I raced some raptors today and beat some and lost some. The raptor that kept whooping up on me was on alcohol. I beat the other 2 raptors that were there. As a raptor and predator owner, I can tell you all this , the predator is faster than the raptor, stock for stock. You put a pipe and k&n filter and jet it up then it will be a closer race. The predator really shines in the higher RPM range where the raptor is all on the bottom end wheelie power. JMO

vilnrk is correct, although I haven't had a ride on a predator yet. With a pipe, filter and jet kit, it will be really really close. If the predator was on alcohol too, it may come down to the rider. Even though I own the raptor, I would probably have to say the if the predator didn't win the race on equal terms, it would be to close for the naked eye to tell. Good racing vilnrk, looks like the jury is in session, I should hear a verdict on the tranny by the end of this week......................
