Default loosing electricity on scrambler

On my 400 every once in a while I will lose all electric.Sometimes when I shut it off I will go to start it and it will be dead. I just keep trying it and wiggle the battery cables and tapping the ignition switch and eventually it will start.I really noticed it at night when my lights will die sporatically.I redid the batt. connections and that wasn't it.Obviously it is a bad connection somewhere.Anyone deal with this? Where is the starting point to look at first?

Wish I could help.

Inspect where ever the wire move near metal. Like around the steering.

What is your running voltage??
