Default Need Opinion on Scrambler Tires

I'm looking at 3 different tires,
Maxxis All trak, Pure Sport Bandits, and Kenda Bear Claws.

I do mostly trail riding, I love to climb hills and cut donuts. I really don't intentionally get in the mud, but it seems I'm in the mud at least once per trip, usually no deeper than the belt housing. Currently I plan to keep the size close to factory size. Which tire is recommended to fit my style.

After reviewing the tires, I'm now down to the Maxxis All-Trak, and Maxxis Sure Trak.
Any opinions?

i think they are both good tires but the alltraks will be more like a sport tire than a mud tire im sure either one will work fine i think all the 4X4 cross country racers use the all traks because they are a better all around tire that has good hard pack traction.

I like the titan fasttrekkers for the front they give great cornering and good tracktion in four wheel drive. I want to put carlisle stryker in the rear of my scrambler 400 4X4. I had them on my trail boss. They were excellent in the mud and snow.

Fattrakker tires are NOT for you they are NOT for 4x4's, I had them on a 250r. Good for that application.

I am running holeshot xct on my scrambler, good all around tires (mud, snow, hard pack, loam, - improved cornering, great puncture resistance).
Some friends run spidertrak tires and they seem to be a good tire as well.

maxxis razor are comprable to holeshots- XCT's are 6 ply.

Either one of the Maxxis would be a good choice with the Sur-Tracs a little better in mud. Did you look at the Dirt Devils? For the money they seem to be a good tire that would work well in your application.

Bear Claws are a good tire, but I always thought they were heavy. Mine have been good to me though. I never got a flat and yes I do ride over some rough stuff (old brick yards, old garbage dump, etc.). My Bear Claws don't have a single scuff on them from all the rough stuff they've been through. My Mud Machines on the other hand, they have pieces of rubber that were chipped out and cracks. In my opinion, Bear Claws are an awesome tire for the price.

If I was looking for new tires, I would be looking at Dirt Devils, maybe ITP Mudlites, and maybe ITP Holeshot XCTs. Also, what are those new tires ITP has that are for Sport/Ute??? I'm not sure if they make them in the Scrambler's size, but if they do, I would look at those too.

I had Holeshot XCT's mounted on Douglas 190 rims. We ride down at Windrock in Tennessee. Never had a ding, dent or a flat. They are a great tire combo for that Scrambler.

Bear-claws are to hard !!!

Realators are awsome man awsome............................................ ......!!!!

climb like a goat, donuts like ban-sheeeeee, sand like a rail, mud in your buddies face, then when you put them on your Scrambler they Kick- butt - TRACTION - you won't believe...............!!!!!!!!

And then, when you think they are worn out............A Mud Racer--- from the Sibley Bad Boys----Tells you
to cut every other cleat off for more and better traction!!!!...........Well you do it on a bet,,, and,,, it's the greatest thing you've done since they were new...... Your track times are faster, and the hook-up is better, climbing is better, mud, sand, snow, all fantastic.........!

Well thats all I have to say about that subject! GOOD-LUCK !
