I saw a very clean low mileage go for $3000 a few months ago. I have a friend who is in the process of repairiing everything on his to get it ready to sale and it has 850 miles on it. His may be a 91, not sure on the year. I am not sure what he wants yet. The palstic is faded but it runs great and will be in great mechanical condition.
I put 500 of the miles on it years ago and this was the ATV that made me decide one day I would own an ATV. I never cared to shift and thought the auto trans was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

$3000 are you CRAZY?!!!! I can buy a new quad for that, in fact I bought a 2001 trailblazer new for $2999.
around here they are in the paper for $1000-$1500.
1992, it's over 10 years old!!! Quad technology has changed a whole lot over the past 10 years.

Dont forget that it is a 4x4, and the 350 is a liquid cooled motor. Polaris hasnt changed their basic designs like other manufacturers in the past 10 years. The 350 is as reliable as the new 400's. If it was clean and low miles it would bring $3k.

well i have had a 1992 350L 4x4... not a bad machine....what i didnt like was that the 3 chains always needed something(lubing,tightning,replacing......) the rear swingarm bushings dont hold up, the front a-arm bushings dont hold up as well, and the stearing post bushings bad as well,,,(but an easy fix for all these problems) but then the motor mount went out....(not to bad to fix) but somthing that old u can expect most of this..the motor in general didnt run that smooth...but you must relize that this machine had over 4000 miles on it....not easy ones either...but what was very good on it was the 4x4(never had a problem) and the cluches were also great (never did anything with it...not even a belt) but the starter also went out on it and after they replaced that and one other thing it costed like 600 dollars or more.....i dont think the 2 stroke starters are that reliable anyways.........but dont say that a '92 350L is as good as a new 400L because now they are shaft drive no bushing problems and most are 4 stokes......there frame is also mostly different too.........if i was you i would buy at least a '95 or newer machine and dont pay over 2000 for that 92 350 either...........well this is just my opinion since i owned one for a while.............

I'm sorry, let me restate that the engine itself is as reliable as the newer 400's. That was the point I was trying to get across.

A new 2002 400 Explorer is $5100.00 In Neosho Mo. Both are 4x4 with shaft front drive.
A new 2002 250 explorer is $ 3200.00
Today we bought a nice 1996 400 2x4 Sport for $1500.00
I sold my 2000 500 Magnum 4x4 with 680 miles for $4200.00
How about a blown top end 1998 400 Sport for $1350.00 with lots
of extras including aluminium bi-fold ramp. ($3000.00 engine work and clutch) Granted another 4 to 500 and it will run!
