engine torque plate

Got mine from Dennis Shotwell (ddjshotwell@qwest.net). Cost me about $50, but the earlier model like yours isn't that much. Sure keeps the engine from trying to twist around. Did you get the pics last night? Bubba

Yeah, Bubba I got them thank you very much. I guess the bar does a good job of holding you down. How far off the ground did you set the wheels on the wheelie bar. Also do you think the small wheels will do ok on sand? I'm still looking into alky, I think I will see what my times are as is and then decide what to do on alky. I'm keeping my eyes open for used cars. I hope to run a low 5 as it sits, do you think this is realistic?

Yes, low 5's should be realistic. I ran 5.2's on 300ft dirt on turf tamer tires. I also weigh in right at 200lbs. If I was going to run sand with those bars, I would either put a bigger wider wheel, or a slider plate. I have seen guys running a slider setup with extended swingarms. It shouldnt try to come up too bad on you, and you only need the bars for the first 60ft or less usually. Keep the bars just far enough off the ground to give just a little movement of the bike front end and help transfer some weight to the back.

Thanks for the info. you have been very helpfull. I'm going to order the torque plate and get to work on a wheelie bar. I'll let you know what I run and what I decide to do about alky. Thanks for all the info. I'm glad I found this forum.
