scramblerized!!!
#1
Took the pooch up to the Mts. the other day to give him a good running. I took the Scrambler simply because I was going alone, and the rain was picking up and there was sure to be some large puddles. We unloaded and started down a really fun trail that equates to about a 10 mile loop. This trail is covered with long puddles that go on for a while and wrap around the next corner and out of sight. Most of them where very managable, even in two wheel drive. Soon we came upon what looked to be a normal puddle, except a little longer. I sent the dog in 1st to guage the depth. He was jumping along and gradually getting deeper. As the water rose, the right front side began to drop faster as the rut was deeper on that side. The dog was swimming at this point and I was to the point of no return. I gassed it hard as my right hand dipped towards the water that had just consumed my front fender. The rear end kicked to the left, and jerked the front to the right a little and the front end climbed the right side of the rut, pointing the Scram toward the sky, up out of the water (the rear was still in deep). OOps....stuck!! The dog had made it through and was at the end of the puddle with an 'OH ****' look on his face. I looked up and realized I hadnt even engaged the all-wheel drive. I flipped the switch, backed back into the rut and drove straight out. (the water got even deeper) I felt like I was in the Sippy hole. I love that Scrambler!
