Bought a 99 250 for my wife and she loves it. She goes out riding more than I do now. Haven't had a single problem with it. It is great in the mud and woods and does good in the snow too....and that is with the stock tires.

I would give a big thumbs up for the Trail Boss. It was my second...and still I like it's combination of low end usable torque and woods mobility. Also, in the price range, the other manufacturers' offerings appear very small to me.

Many of the rental companies on the Oregon Coast use the Trail Boss for sand riding. The guy I talked with said "The TB is very reliable & easy to work on! It doesn't have a lot of features butt its a great beginner or rental quad".

Just my 2 cents worth

I've ridden 2 250's.. they're okay, but I haven't ridden a new one so I can't really tell you.. I like the 250, it's got a quick snap on it, but not like a scrambler..

I HAVE A 96 TRAIL BOSS.POWER IS SNAPPY ENOUGH,YET I EVEN LET MY 12 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER RIDE IT.IF YOU DO GET A USED ONE,I WOULD RECCOMEND AN AFTERMARKET CHAIN TENSIONER.THEY ARE ABOUT $50.00,BUT WORTH IT!!!
