335 Sportsman

RJohns,
Do you have a 335 already? If not, go with the 500. I rode both, and the 335 is a dog compared to the 500. It depends on what you want to get out of it. There are many clutch kits out there. I don't know if they make a performance exhaust for one. Also look into a K&N filter, and rejetting your carb. I think for the trouble it would be to mod a 335 up, get a 500. It will probably do better than a beefed up 335, bone stock.

I already own this machine. I have rode several 500s and they are much more powerful. I've put about 600 miles on my quad and had tons of fun, but it needs more power in a few areas. Hills are a bit tricky at times deep mud ect.... I think Super trap makes a pipe for the 335 but I'm thinking I heard it quit noisy.

I just bought a 335. I like the bike other than the problem I had with the tranny. and speedo. I have took mine up some steep hills with 3 people with no problems. But i would like the bike to have more power. Let me know how your mods turn out.

We never seem to have enough power. Ask the guys with the 500's, they want more too. For what they want for the supertrapp, I don't think it would be worth it.From what I've heard, there is no difference from the stock one. Try a jet kit, and a K&N filter.

I havent had mine but 2weeks only got to ride for a couple of hours and the tranny started making a clicking noise kind of like the gears werent aligned right. Any way the polaris tec told my dealer to put in a new one. If that didnt fix it they would give me a new one. As far as vibration i dont know i only rode it once and its still in the shop should get it back mon or tue. Shame a brand new bike with that kind of trouble, but I like it seems to have plenty of power for its size. The polaris rep told my dealer they have only heard of one other 335 with this problem, said the new tranny fixed his.

Hi Guys,
My dad and I are thinking of getting a 2000 polaris sportsman 335. Do you think we should get it??
We want it because it's small for me and not too big(i'm only 14)
I've read your replys and most of you say there is not much power in the 335 will it be good for me?, we would use it for mud bogging and trail riding the most.
