valve adjustment??
#4
You take the cover off and remove the timing inspection plug from the recoil houseing. Make sure the piston is in top dead center. Verify this by observing the "T" mark aligned with the pointer in the timing inpection hole. At TDC, there should be clearance in all valves. Insert a .006 feeler gauge between end of intake valve stem and clearance adjuster screw. Use a 10mm wrench ans screwdriver to loosen the lock nut and turn the screw until there is a light drag on the feeler gauge. Hold screw and tighten the lock nut.Repeat for the other intake valve. Recheck the clearance. For the exhaust, insert a .006 feeler gauge between the end of valve stem and adjuster screw for BOTH valves because the share a rocker arm. Loosen the nut and adjust with the screw. Bothe gauges should remain during the adjustment. Then just recheck everything and put it back together. Hope that helped
