I believe that on the newer model Scramblers, the floor boards are aluminum. They were steel on the older ones. But the bumpers and the wheels are still steel, not aluminum.

I have a 2000 Scrambler 400 2X4 Manufactured 12-28-99
I also saw on Polaris web site info about the aluminium wheels and floorboards and bumpers(Not exactly sure what a bumper is on the scrambler as the frame is what sticks out of the front and rear)
After sticking a magnet on the wheels and floorboards and having the magnet pinch my finger between it and the floorboard( An absurdly large magnet) I can tell you that these parts are steel.
And after my finger heals I will be dialing my dealer to inquire about aluminium replacements to try and save some weight.

GO STARS!!
