Went to the local polaris dealer. Told him i need a front and rear clutch cover for my 98 scram 500. I asked him if it was the new style. He said it was. However when i was looking at it at home, one of the holes will not line up. The one that is off is the top middle. The outer cover is about a 1/4" low. I also thought the new cover wasnt slick. This one is slick.
Well here is the part number for the inner 2201160
and 5433540 is the outer. I think the outer is old.
Can anyone help? I dont want this one to warp.

I also just bought a new belt cover for my Scrambler. I got the '03 with the drain plug. The new style has nine bolts instead of only seven. The old cover is smooth and has many squared edges. The new one has a round design and is slightly larger. I gave $84 each for front and rear covers, best deal I could find.

Do you also need to purchase a new exhast and eaxhaust boot for the new cover, or did your original one fit.

 

The original exhaust duct fit. Some machines have a smaller exhaust port on the old cover but the Scrambler came with the larger one already. I've seen a Trail Blazer 250 with a port about half the size as this new one.
