Default Reverse question ....

I apologize if this has been asked before but, I've had a few problems while in reverse .... While in reverse, it feels like I'm running outta gas, or like the ignition has been retarded. It happens 35% of the time .... Now, I read in the owners manual that there's a speed limiter while in reverse, but I'm crawling .... Also, is it normal to have to adjust the idle speed on a new bike? It's got 19 Hours on it and I just completed the initial oil change....

Default Reverse question ....

The reverse limiter is preset at about 2800 rpms. If you are on flat ground or not under a load, you wont need much throttle and can do just fine. If you have to push the throttle much at all or against a load, it will hit the limiter and you wont go anywhere fast. The idle does need to be adjusted sometimes after break-in. Hope this helps. Default Reverse question ....

Do you have a reverse override button? If so try pushing that and going in reverse.
