Default Predator Front Tires

Hello,
Well, I finally took my Predator out on it's maiden run and unfortunilty, an hour after the first oil change I blew out the front wheel, tear in the side wall, history. I just ordered from Rocky Mountain a pair of Razr 2's. I see Pure Polaris sells a Razr front upgrade for the Predator but it looks like it's a standard razr, not the 2, which is a 6 ply. Anyone have any info or recommedation on front tires, stock size is 21-7-10, thx, Putt
P.S. Would you like to rid yourselves of all this popin stuff I keep hearing about? I'm running the stock head pipe (Jet-Hot coated) W/B slip on with 8 discs, K&N in stock, unmodified box and Dynojets just released jet kit and this thing just plain rip's!. Not one pop and noway at all is it sluggish I can bring the front end up in every gear, easily. Once the motor hits the pipe, it's like a damn two stroke, power band is that good. When I have more time I've give a better review on the Walker Evens and all. Take care, Putt

Actually, you can get the standard Razr front in a six ply tire. It sounds as though you probably ride in some rocks? If so, then go with the 22" fronts, it will give more ground clearance for your A-arms. The original Razr are also cheaper than the Razr 2's.

hey puttnutt,
Where did you get the dynojet kit from, I don't see it on their website? Are you running a stage 1 kit? And honest to god you can loft the wheels in every gear...that is a serious hp gain. I'm highly considering the WB slip on, and if you say the dynojet adds that much more, count me in on that too!!

Hi Fish1, yes, your right, I should have thought it thru alittle more, I should have ordered the 22's. I went with the stock size 21-7-10's (which they only offer the 4 ply, 6 ply in the 22's only for the standard razr's) But I'll be fine with the 21's. Thx for the info though.
Hey Pud, I ordered it directly from Dynojet, kit # Q518. I was very impressed with the improvment, wheels in every gear? well 1st, 2cd and 3rd anyway, i don't have big enough ***** to try it in fourth and fifth Seems it shouldn't be a problem in fourth. When this thing hit's it sweet spot, it had the power band I've only felt in a two stroke before. Putt

I had Razrs installed on the front before I picked my pred up from the dealer. Just lovem. Plus with that centerline tread design, I don't have to buy front runners for the dunes.

Do you know what main jet you are running now? I'm using a 152.5 with 12 discs & six 1" inserts in the airbox. Not popping, just ROCKING!

I'm running Dynojets main # DJ150 and there needle with the clip on the second notch (as per their instructions) and I installed the small washer beneath the clip to richen it just a tad. I did the same on the main, they recommended the DJ146. I tend to like leaning towards running things alittle on the rich side, runs a bit cooler that way, I'll give up a couple HP. I've always had pretty good luck with Dynojets products no matter what I've installed them on. Take care buds, Putt
