Default How much??

I am having to replace the rear swing arm on my 99 trailblazer 250. I already have a new rear swing arm (on the way) and I was going to install it myself. However, my mom wants to take it to the dealer and have them install it and give my atv a "tune up" and check it over since I just bought this used. I am positive the swing arm is the only problem but you know how moms can be...... Basically my question is how much do you think this will cost me?? Also, how long will it take?? Thanks in advance for any info.

Well, a 99 model is concentric drive, so they are easier than the earlier models to do. You will need to pull the primary and secondary clutches, and remove the inner clutch cover.once you do that and remove the small cover on the sprocket side, everything is pretty visible then. Remove the chain, wheels, bottom shock bolt, and brake caliper and tie it up so it doesnt hang.Just keep a jack under the frame to support it. After that it's just removing the holder nuts and taking it out. Just think of it like a puzzle. Now of course a manual always is good to have for the little things. The dealer will probably want a few hours labor to do it and it might cost a bit. Just depends on if you have the necessary tools and you feel comfortable tackling the job.Bubba
