Default Trail Blazer AUx Brake

The backup break on my trail blazer will not work. The foot pedal feels very loose and the break will not engage. The regulare break works but the aux wont. I have tried the bleeding procedure but not sure if I have done it correctly. Is there any other meathod in adjusting this break besides the bleeding?? And if so how?

What year TB do you have? I have a 99 & 00 and there is no adjustment
to the AUX brake on mine. The looseness is probabley from the piston where
the pedal is attached. There is a lock nut that adjusts the travel of the piston.
That piston that pushes brake fluid to the caliper maybe out of adjustment.

Default Trail Blazer AUx Brake

I had the same problem with the '01 that I had. I did the bleeding procedure like a hundred times. Eventually I got the pedal to come back a little. I never got the aux brake back 100%, but it did grab some again. I had talked to my dealer about it. I was told that because the foot brake is used so little (at least in my case) it loses prime on the hydraulics. I would suggest keep trying the bleeding some more (within reason). If it isn't going to work, it may need something else. Hope this helps.
