Scram500, I think you made a typo. The stock 400 scrambler carb is a 34mm.Bubba

It will work fine. I did it and my stock air-box had to go, the clamp was way to small for the new carb. I got a clamp-on style filter and took my air-box out. You will need to rig somthing up if you ride in deep water. I see in your signature you have a pipe and all the stuff, this would probably be the next mod. It will make a huge difference. The jetting it kinda weird, like with your stock you're running about a 165 main? and with this carb you need to run about a 220 main, 45 pilot, put the clip in the 3rd notch from the bottom, turn your air-screw out 2 turns. That's what I did and it works perfect. Good luck

I am running the scrambler 400 carb on my moded Trailblazer and it worked really well. The jetting is a little tricky but I know exactly what needs to be used for it to work. You have to take parts from the 30mm TB carb and use them on the 34mm Scrammy carb. I have more bottom end and top speed has been increased also. The only downfall is it goes through gas like crazy. If I had the money at the time I would have went with a flatside but I got the carb cheap from Talonhawk. Just ask around and look on e-bay. You should be able to get one at a good price.

I've got a carb and an airbox that I would probably get rid of for the right price. The carb was only used for 8 months, has a little dried gas in it, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned. Let me know If you are interested

2many,

Did you use the needle jet/jet needle out of the 30mm?

Yes I did. So far it has worked great but there is a big dead spot off the throttle. Still trying to figure that out.
