Default Need help with helix angles

I have a 99 xplorer 400 that comes factory with a 40-36 helix.Ive grooved my helix and am in need of a replacement. While I have to buy one,I was going to upgrade to a 44-40 or stouter this time. Will I notice this change? What changes will occur?I use this to trail ride mostly with a few 65 mph runs on occassion.Im wanting to keep this as trail friendly as possible with a little more acceleration or top end.I guess I want it all.LOL
