The speedo only goes to 60mph on all Polaris models.(the new 04's go to 70) I was referring to the 700 at that speed. My 600 will do 60mph true speed.

snowride Im with you my 02 -700 tops out at 66mph that was on flat pavement. And keep im mind this things werent made to run that fast all the time.If your going to run on the road alot and that fast get some aftermarket ties with less tread on them and are made to run thatr fast..

Bill35, you can't be with snowride, he says the speedo only goes to 60mph! Really though i don't give a hoot! But i think his speedo said 70, but you own them so you must know what it says.

dbass- no they didn't catch them That was an old rail line bridge, so it was built very stong, so when the snowmobilers and ATV'ers had to raise money to fix it it cost a lot of money! Also it was a mess because it was hard to get a fire truck down the trail in time to put it out. It's all fixed now, it was befor the snow was flying, snowmobilers needed it-vital part of the trail.

Really though some people don't have anything better to do?????????

With 200 miles on it my SP700 did 59.4 GPS mph in the sandy riverbottom. Not sure what top speed is as I am not sure I was wound out all the way. Haven't tried it on the street yet...

how about tires? gotta be DOT approved to be on the road, right? I can't believe they let that go on there. Not that it wouldn't be great to get around, but my concern would be all the car vs atv accidents. you know who the loser is going to be.
