Quick polaris 4wd question?
#1
I have a scrambler x 400 2002. I was reading in the manual that 4wd only kicks in when the back wheels begin to slip, is this the case for the machine that I have. What does the overide button do on the left handle bar? does it engage the 4wd system into full time 4wd. If not is there a way to always have 4x4 engaged. Has anyone had anyproblems with the polaris 4wd not engaging soon enough after the wheels begin slipping.
Thanx in advance

Ok...4wd only kicks in if your rear wheels spin. But its 1/5 of a turn, so really..you dont even notice it kicking in and out! Its a really cool system!
The over-ride button on the left hand grip is for reverse. When in reverse, there is a rev limiter to stop you from going too fast in reverse..if you hold this button in while in reverse, it over-rides this feature and gives you FULL throttle if you need it!

By the way Scotts88 you got a great looking mustang, I just got rid of mine last month, It was an 88 gt 5.0, wish I still had but the motor and body were starting to slip. Plus I had to buy the scram.
