If you have racks remove them. Remove the tool kit holder. Not sure what else you can take off. The lights I guess if you never ride at night or only race it.

It depends on what you are going to do with it afterwards. You could...remove the srarter, oil injector, steel front bumper, steel skid plate, air box, lighten fly wheel, remove all "dormant" wires, remove all unused brackets....ADD aluminum bars, front bumper, skid plate. I had my 400 at 389lbs.

you could get rid of the floor boards replace with foot pegs , get rid of the round sprocket guard change the swingarm with the hotseat one it is 7 pounds lighter replace the steering stem with the hotseat one it is lighter also ,but if you really want to get into it get someone to make a new frame from aluminium that would be a huge diff. replace all disks with vented ones

Remove the cooling fan and some of the shielding around the radiator. Add a "Wetter" agent to the coolant to increase its efficency, also consider a billet head that will run cooler. This will remove almost 20 lbs.

If its a 500 4x4 get new struts and housings, lose the shaft...there oo 70lbs. But if not, get alum handle bars... chromoly A-arms, chromoly swing arm, hot seat axle, bit lighter...adjustable too. Ummm, if u like the starter, u can buy the hpd battery drops 11 lbs, but do some online research because that battery is an industry standard. They charge 149...ive seen the same one for like 30 bucks...Hope this helps.

I've never seen new strut houses. Where did you find chromoly A-arms? Are they for the 4x4's?
