Default Silencer on a Scrambler400

Hi guys,

If you install an aftermarket pipe but keep the stock silencer, do you get the same hp improvement as if you would have installed an aftermarket silencer ???

Thanking you in advance,

Armor

The stock silencer is more choked up than any aftermarket silencer. You may be losing 1-2 HP by using the stock silencer. My Scrambler ran noticeably stronger after adding just the AAEN silencer, so I know the aftermarket silencers have to be less restrictive.

I use the stock scrammy silencer for riding around the yard but when I go trail riding or racing I have a non restrictive race silencer that is loud as hell but there is a difference in performance. Not much to worry about but you can tell the difference.
