Default Best exhaust system for a Scrambler

hey guys,
I was wondering what the best exhaust system out there is for a Scrambler 500ho 4X4. I was looking at the hotseat speed kit and that exhaust system comes with a built in spark arrestor. I am looking for alot of gain in accelleration midrange, and even top end. Any other mods that would help out the speed and accelleration for the Scrambler would be cool... thanks

I personally like the HPD Powermaxx Exhaust. It does not have a spark arrester, but oh well. It sounds GREAT, has that "potatoe potatoe" sound that reminds me of a Harley. I havent had it on the trails yet but I could tell the low end gains. It also looks killer with the nickel plating. I know that your friend has the Hot Seat kit, but IMO I think that the HPD stuff is a step above the rest. Plus. they back it up with dyno results. The HPD pipe with jets is $305. The HPD aggressive clutch kit is $155. K&N with Outwears is $42 through Rocky Mt ATV. So all together you have around $500 into it while the HotSeat kit is $550. With that extra $50 you can get a set of HPD superduty buttons or Team Industries roller clutch for $270. If you get the roller clutch they will take of $90 from the clutch kit because you wont need the helix. You arent goin to gain much more out of the 500 motor unless you go inside with the 628cc kit that we discussed previously. I posted the prices of that kit on your friend's post earlier. The HPD air box mod kit will give you 2hp. Dont get the Hot Seat air box mod because it doesnt have the any of the parts to rejet and recalibrate the carb. I have also heard that the 42mm carb is suppose to make a BIG difference.

Also, I should add, RCR sells HPD products. Rick is very knowledgeable about Polaris quads. For my pipe and clutch kit, the shipping was only $9 as well. The 42mm carb is avialable for Hot Seat and Aaen Performance for around $300. I am sure that you will have to play around to get the jetting right. The carb will flow more air meaning better throttle response, more speed, and Aaen claims 4hp increase

This came directly from the guys at 4 stroke tech

"The 628 kit is $350 for the crank (exchange) and $295 for the piston kit, sleeve and head gasket. It is $195 for the cam (exchange) and $95 for valve springs. No need for clutch set up. A pipe would be recommended."

I dont know of anyone that has this kit. However, over at Highlifter.com I have seen some SP 500 H.O.'s with this kit. I am sure that with this kit you will definately be the FASTEST 4x4 around. HPD and Hot Seat dont offer any engine mods for the 500's, that I know of. Aaen does off a few cams as well as porting. A high compression head with a Wiesco couldnt hurt. You could even run it on Alcohol. But, for what you are going to pay for that you mine as well get the 628 kit. Then go from there. If you guys got some extra cash sittin around, I know of a way to get A LOT more power out of that 500. How about a Turbo Charger from Aerocharger
Latter guys. If you are ever in Michigan we should hook up and ride

HPD is the only way to go. As for getting a new carb take your old one off and send it to RickRitter for boring it is alot cheaper

I just noticed that Rick Ritter sells a pipe for the 500 Scrammy I did not know this , This might also be a choice I do not know of anyone who has one if someone does have one let us know . Oh buy the way the carb boring is 60 dollars compared to 300 sounds like a deal to me
