I let my gf's brother in law ride my Pred. this afternoon..while I was putting a new filter on my Banshee. Well he was gone for almost 30 min. when a truck came pullin into the yard with him being towed...he ran out of gas about 2 miles down the road and couldnt find the petcock to switch the fuel over to reserve.

Soo I poured about a gallon of gas into it and it wouldnt fire up...I have ran it out of gas before and it usually takes a few trys to get fuel into the carbs.

Then all of sudden it starts and now is revving to the moon!!! It seems like a stuck throttle, but I cant figure it out. Could it have something to do with the floats being stuck? I have no idea what to do on this quad!!

Anyone got some ideas???

Warranty?? Take it to the shop and let them monkey with it.

 

I guess that is my only option...its been loaded in the truck since last night.

I was hoping someone MIGHT be able to give me answer...

I have a feeling its a stuck throttle, because when I push the throttle, it doesnt rev until I almost have it burried, then it hits the rev limiter.

Take your carb apart and get dirty, don't be afraid, it will wash off.
. It is probably something dumb, look a the thumb throttle assm. also.
