Default Plastic for fender extension?

I know this was posted about a year ago, but does any know where I can get some plastic to extend the fenders on my Scrambler? Or have any good ideas I could try.

Thanks,
QuickScrambler

Nice bike...What do yah mean by extend the plastic? Didnt it come with mudflaps...those wretched ugly black things? I have 4 of them if u want them just give me an address, you can have them...but if you're lookin for actual plastic u could buy a front or rear cab.

Default Plastic for fender extension?

I'm looking to extend the fenders out a couple of inches. I ride alot in wet muddy places and I'm tired of all the mud flying onme. My wifes' Sportsman has them and I don't get very muddy compared to mine.

Now i see what you mean, I have heard of people buyin plastic and duct taping it to the existing. Then the heat it up with an iron, or a torch and fuse the plastic together... not sure if this really works...but u could also possibly modify the sportsmans mud guards. The hang off the edge a little better. I cut my plastics down...so im thinking along the wrong line as you but hope this helps.

Dennis Kirk sells mud skirts. You can also get them through Polaris power Sports as well as your dealer

I put a set on my 2000 Scram. You can see them if you take a look at my pic gallery. A guy off of E-Bay sold them to me. I do a lot of riding in heavy wooded areas with tight(and I mean really tight) trails. You do have to drill holes along all of the fenders to install the extensions. What I would suggest though is that should you do this, do NOT use hard plastic extenders as you will crack the bolt holes in the fender if you should hit a tree or other obsticle hard enough with the extenders. Hard thick plastic just won't bend like the stock plastic will. I would strongly suggest some type of rubber to extend the fenders. I learned the hard way and now I'm gonna go out and buy some fresh plastic when I can find some and keep the old plastic for hunting season only. I will say this though, the extenders do a great job of keeping me a lot drier in the winter months while riding to my deer stand. hope this helps a bit and good luck.
