How many links in Scrambler chain?
I have a '99 Scrambler 500 4x4 and it is the only quad Dennis Kirk does not list the # of links. They say it has a 13 front and 36 rear sprockets. I'm going to get a DID chain, but how many links? What kind of sprocket should I get? Kirk doesn't carry many Polaris sprockets.

How many links in Scrambler chain?
i think it is around 76 my dealer just gave me a 100link so i cut of the rest its not hardwith a grinder. YOU should tighten your chain so you can barely move it when you put it back on i had mine real loose and i broke my new sproket. I went down a tooth to a 12 for the front for better low end i called a polaris dealership they said it shouldnt hurt the four wheeler drive system. I had a sunstar on but i broke the teeth so they i bought the 12t one and they had was emgo for $15 but the sunstar are supposed to be pretty good the only reason i broke it was brcase my chain was to loose. hope that helps

Thanks for the advise. My stock sprockets are worn but were never affected by a loose chain. In my opinion, any good sprocket should not get broken teeth from a loose chain. The Scrambler is very likely to break the tranny case after a jump or even in thick mud with a tight chain.
