Default scammy help

i have a 2000 scambler 500 4x4 which was involved in a small roll over where it landed on the left fron wheel. The wheel had a small bend in it which I touhgt was what was causing the the wobble in the front end. However upon removal off the wheel and with the complete 4 wheeler jacked up off the ground when you have it in 2wd the front axles spin all the time like it should but the left front weel even tough its not spining move up and down and when you put in 4wd it moves more. Basically what I am trying to say that the wheel wobles with out the wheel on it and it wobbles just when the front axles are spining in the hub with out the front wheels engauged. I am not sure where to start to check for bent problems. What do yall think could cause this problem and how can I check it?

have you compared sides?

grab it with your hand (on jacks tire removed) and wiggle it. Is there any play? Where does the play exist?

Could be a number of things.

That front end hub assembly has a lot of parts.....and can be a pain in the deuce. Do a search, there are many knowledgable polaris folks on here, who have probrably seen this type of thing.
