Help I Need a Left Strut
Does anyone have a left strut for a 98 scrambler they are not using and would like to sell or give it away. haha
My son decided to ride my quad and go in the field and do wheelies.Well he had it up and it started to go over
and the rack caught on the right side turning him sideways and slamed them to the ground. He walked away
unhurt but the quad landed with all the force on the left front wheel and cracked the lower Hub/strut between the
ears for the brake caliper. I went all the way through to the sealing surface for the inner seal and 1/4 the way around
so I dont think it is weldable due to the fact its got to hold a seal and the hub oil

I believe you are looking for the hub strut assembly, not just the strut. I don't know if you have ever had to replace the strut itself, but it is inserted in the hub strut assembly. I know that a new one runs about $180, plus $115 for the strut if you blew that. The struts are not rebuildable though, like the rear shock is. www.ronnies.com has a parts breakdown of your quad, and what the cost is. From what I saw, the cost looks better than what my dealer can get things for.
