Default This is getting old!!!!

Well, I got my air force kit yesterday, installed it and it still runs like $$it! I've about had it . I ordered my predator and paid for it on 8-12-02 waited 4 months to get it . Received it on 12-03-02 and it hasn't ran right since I put a pipe on it. I 'm at the point where I'm ready to sell it. And buy something else. I can't seem to get any help from my dealer or Polaris. Any one have any suggestions.

Thanks

Have you called Gary and spoke to him about it?

Why sell it if the pipes causing the problem? Why not just take the WB pipe off, run it stock until other exhaust companys come out? I cant see blaming the quad because it doesnt like the pipe..

What setup are you running at the W/B outlet? Did you change your jetting? I'm running all the discs, the quiet core, and the plate. Installed a 160 main jet, and for grins drilled out the plug and richened the pilot by 1/4 turn. The airbox have 5 Univents installed on the rear face, with the K&N inside. How does this differ from your's?

Here's how I see it. I was real close to buying a C-Dale. Not that I"m sorry but Polaris sells the pipe the should know what it takes to tune everything. I have 5 hrs. on it. Now thats not a very good return on my money!!! If I wanted something that ran like a 400 EX I would have bought one. As for talking to Gary I left 2 message yesterday and got no return call.

This is what I have. I don't know what size main jet is (it's the #3 jet that comes in the air force kit)Air screw is out 2 1/2 turns. all the plates with the WB pipe. Adjusted the float as recommended with kit. I run a K&N filter. Needle in the stock position

Low end. Its like a 2 stroke if you fan the clutch and get the rpm's up it seem to wake up. if I just give it gas it doesn't have any low end at all.

a friend of mine at work just bought a predator a couple months ago. He hasn't done any mod's to it still all stock. Well anyway he's having all kinds of problems with it running right. Sometimes it refuses to idle and most times it sputters and coughs when you try to accelerate. He's taken it back to the dealer acouple of times with no luck. He's trading it in on a z400. Just thought I'd let you know there are people having probs with even stock preditors. might not be the airforce

I suppose there's no markings at all on that jet he sent you? Or maybe the kit has some orifice sizes, or stock equivalents? Just for grins, since you're problem is in the lower range, I would maybe try drilling out the plug and turning your pilot screw in 1/4 turn (richening it). You did toss the stock foam pre-filter right?
