I'm new to this message board. It seems to be the most inciteful for the tb's. I have the rcr stage one kit, which is great. What would probably be my next mod? I'm trying to do this in several steps instead of all at once. I like to ride at Little Saharah, but also like trail riding

Welcome, your next step is Probably a Weisco piston, have the head ported by Bubba297, 34mm carb, maybe lighten it up a bit. 2manytoys or talonhawk would be the most help on this for you.

It will depend on how far you want to go and how much money you want or not want to spend. Talonhawk has a race mod 250. Pretty much everything that I have done is trailmod. Very quick with a top speed of 67mph. The race mod is quicker but with around the same top speed. Racemod is about $1400 and I spent about $800. I would say the next bang for the buck would be porting and bigger carb. BUBBA297 did my porting and it made a big difference. He has been porting for years and knows what to do. He deals with mostly polaris. But whatever you want to do we can give nfo on every mod you can do to a TB. And welcome to Polaris!!! No longer the underdog in the ATV world.

Hey tb2000. I have a 34mm carb setting around gathering dust. If you decide to do that let me know.

I can tell you how to jet it and what you need to do to mount it to the TB. It is easy. I am running a 34mm from a Scrammy and it works really well. Not as good as a flatside but a flatside is like $250.

I was like you when I first started out. Bought my 99 TB and about
a year later started with a pipe from a 400 sport. Now 4 years later
its has a reed converted head and full race mod package, 35 PWK
carb and just had my flywheel lightened by 1.8 lbs. That made a BIG
difference. Zero lag now and pulls hard like a modified 400 but my
crank started making a noise! D#$N bearings are going out! My next
mod is the NEW Comet clutch due out in mid May. They say it will give
a 25% increase in power! OW MY!!!!!!!

Yes I am watching out for that clutch also. I would love 25% more efficiency. Hey 2Many, here is a link about the clutch. Comet Clutch

Like NCscrambler said, 25% power gain over a Polaris primary with
after market performance mods, right off the bat. Price tag is high--
$350 but when do ya stop?

Thanks NC. It sounds very tempting. It says 25% over stock. Dont the HPD kit claim the same performance.
