I see in your signature that you have an RX DI. What are your impressions of that motor? There are a lot of rumors in the snowmobile world as to Ski-Doo using the 951 in a sled soon. Although it would probably have to be SDI (semi-direct injection) due to the higher operating rpm.

I have been extremely happy with my 951. That thing hauls butt. I get very good mileage and good performance, that is hard to come by in a jetski. I have timed myself at 0-60 in 4.3 sec. and have seen test with radar guns at 0-30 in like 2.1 sec. It pulls very hard and consistant all the way through the powerband. Top speed is around 70 on glass and will run 67 all day long. In my opinion if that motor was put in something out of water, It would be wicked fast. If I remember correct it is rated at 130 hp. I know that the direct injection is far superior than the carb. versions. I have run circles around an XP same year with carb, and gas.. it is a joke at the difference, I would say I can ride 4 more hours than the carb. XP with the same motor. I don't know how SDI would affect performance though. Anyway If they do it I would think It would be pretty good. Oh I have riddin' about every jetski out there and the RXDI is the s--t. Thanks for your views. A lot of Ski-Doo faithful are dissapointed that they no longer make the 800 triple and are not satisfied with the performance of the 800 twin, although the SDI 800 twin seems to have developed a following. Hopefully they will use the 951 in a sled soon.

I don't ever get enough snow around here to ride sleds, but If they did put the 951 in one, I think It would be a good move.
