Pipe for Predator
#2
Your not going to need a pipe to out run your friend, make sure you break it in good before you start racing. Go with the White Bros pipe. It can be tuned to what ever mods you do. Don't fall for all the hype, and dyno numbers on the other pipes. They cost alot more but your going to make more power with the White Bros.

Yoshimura's pipe for the predator will be coming out soon. I called them and they said that they were just finishing it up and they will call me with the specs and dyno numbers. Should be a pretty good pipe. I'll post the numbers when I get them.

Yes, it would be nice to hear how the MBRP system pulls for numbers, since knowone on the MBRP forum will even answer that question. You would think they would push their product a little harder when it looks that cool. Although there was the incident where their pipe test flopped on the Z in a couple issues ago in DW, but they didn't really rebuttle, just claimed that DW didn't set it up like they were supposed to...hmmmm?

It will take a few days to sort it out. The info has to go to mbrp before it is released. I got the local dealers personal predator to dyno for a few days. We made a few runs to night, it had a k@n filter and a white/pure power pipe. It dynoed at 39.8 on a dynojet dyno. The stock pipe was dynoed and it was less than 1 PEAK hp less. We did not do the mbrp yet. The dealer said all he did was put the white pipe on it. But when we looked it had a K@N filter already in it. We are going to have to verify the carb jetting first to make sure it is stock before we continue. We are dynoing it stock, with a slip-on, slip-on and K@N, slip-on- K@N- dynojet kit, and full system- K@N-Dynojet kit. I will take a few days to sort it all out. We are dynoing dozens of quads that way. From what i saw tonight the predator makes very little power below 5500 rpm, then from 5500 to rev limiter IT NEVER DROPS OFF. That was impressive. It looks like the predator is really going to like a cdi box. I was not impressed with the HP numbers for a polaris 500HO or a polaris sportsman700.
