predator paddle tire
#1
Is there any difference betwean the skat trak hauler and skat trak ultra buff haulers? Also what size are you guys running. I hear 22x11x8 8 paddle hauler is best for sand drags for the predator. Is a mohawk style front tire better than smooth? Any input on this would be great!
Thanks,
Jeff

the ultra buffs are the fronts and they are just a smooth buff tire. I think.....
If you want drag performance, you need the extreme haulers, much nicer IMO than the regular haulers and even the taller haulers. They last longer and throw more sand.

Cool - thanks guys for the advise. I'm also wondering about size. I know I want to get the skat haulers with prob a mohawk skat front. But what size? I'm leaning toward 22 x 11 x 10 8 paddle but would 20 x 10 x 10 8 paddle be better for drag racing? What advantages and dissadvantages are bigger/ smaller tire circum.?

Go with the 22-11-10 8 , you dont want low profile in the sand. more sidewall = better floatation and also better flexability in bite. ie; if its hookin up too much put some air in, not enough let some out. also give you a little softer ride. You may have to gear slightly different for the extra 2". For drag racing the weight tranfer theory would suggest you'll be able to launch harder too. this is just from my personal experience from draggin my shee. Would'nt think it would be much different. Hav'nt had much time on the pred yet, going to Sand Mt. NV. on the 15th to find out.

Pred, sorry, I meant to say that the low profile is better when you have the larger tires. I naturally assumed that he would have at least 20"s and probably 22"s and when you have that much tire, a 10" rim still allows lots of sidewall shock absorbsion.

Just ordered some 22 x 11 x 10 9 paddle haulers today. Jims sand toys in OK said that was what almost all the predators were running there. I'm hoping ive got enought to spin them with my W/B pipe set up. Anyone else running these with any sucess?
