more torque ?

Hello,
i'm new here and have a few questions.
I repair cars and light trucks for a living and use my atv to pull the "dead" ones into the shop , i guess you could consider this extreme duty or maybe even abuse .
But it sure saves my back from trying to push them into the shop. or the "pain in the butt" blocking the street with a tow truck getting them in.
I currently own/use a 2002 sportsman 500 HO which seems to do a great job,but i'm worried i might ruin it in the long run ?
my brother has a 2003 sp700 and is upset about the fuel mileage he gets trailriding and offered to trade me for my 500HO.
fuel mileage is the least of my worries , so to keep it simple i guess i want to ask two questions . 1. will the 700 help me in anyway pulling cars, more torque , stronger running gear , better belt , easier on the engine ? 2. is the 700 still a joy to ride like the 500 HO ?
or will i regret trading in anyway ?
one thing that sticks in my mind...i think i remember reading someplace that there is a pin or something that is a "weak" link in the 600 and 700 rear ends ? i don't want to shear one of them off or strip the rear end or something worse.
also for pleasure i do ride in mud and trail ride would i be missing anything 500 versus 700 other than fuel consumption ?
Top speed or bragging rights don't mean much to me , i just want to enjoy my atv for work and pleasure.
thank you in advance for your opinions and help

TRADE............TRADE.............TRADE.......... ....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some 700 have a heating problem. But my 500 Mag 4x4 did when stuck in mud for any time.
The 700 can jump with the best of them. At wyanoka Ok. a 700 could jump just as high as 400ex's, 500 Predator, 660 Raptor, 400 Z, all of them.
The engagement on the 700 is a little high, but with practice you'll be all right. Or do the spring swap.
My 500 I hated the engagement so I put a stock '95 400L spring in the primary, made it perfect.
