Default General info on Predator please.

A buddy of mine told me today he was thinking about buying a predator. All I would like is some general info on the quad. I bet they are pretty fast, but I have never rode one. How does fair against the other sport quads?(400ex,banshee,raptor,ds650,z400). Thanks for any info you can give.

The best thing to do is to do a search, this topic has come up several times in the polaris, yamaha, honda, and suzuki forums!

It holds it's own quite nicely, best bang for the buck quad on the market.

The Predator is a very good quad. I don't know about the "hands down in all catagories" though.

What kind of riding do you do most ? What is your body size ... med/ large / or xlarge ???

Um, er, V....he was specifically asking about the Predator, 400ex, DS650, Raptor, Banshee, and the Z-400. Don't think he was looking for a 700 sales pitch.....otherwise maybe he'd be in the Kawi forum asking.

Um, er, Mod ..... I don't think I said anything about a 700 at all ???????

My question was about was what kind of riding he was planning.... and his body size ???????????
Would you agree that those things might have an impact on a selection of Predator, 400ex, DS650,
Raptor, Banshee, and the Z-400.

Geezzzzzzzzz touchy !

This is why I prefer the Polaris forum the best, no one (so far) has just flat out say get the Predator. Just about everything says "it holds it's own" or "it's excellent in every catagory". Hands down the best, I don't know, I haven't ran against "all" the other quads, but have ridden most of them. I personally prefer it over the other's I've ridden, but it does take a little getting used to with the power and the steering. You really do steer it better if you steer it with the *** end!

um, well i have a raptor but my friend has a pred and i havent ridden it a few times. nice quad. If your going for mx, its better than raptor but for trails i like my rappy more. One of the things i hated about the predator was where the shift lever was. It was too high or something. Its a great band for your buck tho. Again, what kinda riding are u gonna be doing. 400 is nice too. There all good quads. just depends on what your using it for. To be honest, ill take my raptor any day over a predator, cept in mX. The gearbox was a little questionable too.

Its up to you and good luck on your purchase!
