If I wanted to save a little money, could I get the Magnum and still get through all of the places that the Sp will go? How much performance difference is their? Thanks

I think yer makin the right choice. All you will lose is ground clearance. You should even gain a little bit of speed/acceleration, becuase of the lighter weight and lack of u-joints in the rear drive. everything else is about the same, there may be a few more differances, i'm not 100% here

He's right. You do lose weight by going with the magnum.. but you don't get all the nic nacs that make the Sportsman the King(according to 4 wheel atv action.). The performance would be about the same.. maybe a quicker accleration, but sure not the smooth ride. I have a 96 300express and it's alright.. probably about the same as the magnum (talkin bout the ride) but my dad can just cruise away from me in a feild full of bumps and ruts... The IRS is what makes the sp all that it is.. and the Polaris 4x4 system... I'm sure that whichever machine you choose, you will not be disappointed!
