Does anyone know if there is a way to selectively disengage the EBS on a newer Sportsman 500. I like the EBS but when decending steep wet or snow covered hills teh EBS causes excessive sliding. It would be nice to have abutton similar to the reverse rev limiter.

Thanks

Sorry, no can do! The EBS is strictly a mechanical setup centered around the clutches and drive belt. There is no way to selectively engage or disengage it.

My best advice is to use the throttle, this should kep the rearend from locking up. It worked for me this weekend on some very steep rocky hills. Just goose it lightly from time to time should keep it from engaging.
