Hello, I am wondering which atv I should buy. I want one that goes fast like these to or any other sport one. Which sport atv will be the best for riding trails and things like that in woods. Thanks a lot

I would take the predator hands down between those 2. The predator comes stock with better stuff than the z. (tires, rims, alxe, break lines, shocks) The predator has a solid 12.5 hp over the z stock for stock.

 

No question the Predator. It is much more for the money and out performs in all areas. Period. Yes, you could add this and that with the Z to possibly run with the stock Predator but you will have much more money in it. Then I can add a fraction of the money and be ahead again. I do like the styling of the Z and would be "the" all-around bike if the Predator hadn't come out. You just start with such a better base and it doesn't look to shabby either. I have had mine a few months and no complaints. I have a friend with KFX and he is sick when he rides mine...if he had only waited a few weeks. But no one had any idea the Polaris would make the quad they did. I am a Honda man through and through but I must give the Predator the props. The Z is a blast to ride, jumps well, has reverse, good looks. In my opinion though overall it isnt a competion with Predator stock for stock. Its just how much money you are willing to put in one. I have the front bumper, WB pipe, K&N, and ordered AC pro-pegs. It came with everything else I wanted. IE. tires and rims,now close to 45-50 HP, steel-braided brake lines, good suspension, I could go on...ride both but make sure the Predator suspension is set up. They come set-up hard from factory but how cool to have the adjustability to set it up for yourself. Good Luck.

One thing I would like to add is that the predator is much more stable feeling, it has a longer and wider wheel base than the Z. Plus you won't have to replace the axle on a predator. The Z's have a very weak rear axle that bends very easy.

 

You wont have to replace the axle on the Z either. Very few of the first ones out had an axle problem that was fixed quickly by Suzuki, no more probs that I've heard.

A few Predators have had tranny problems does that mean they all will? Predators suck, the tranny is weak and is gonna fail don't buy it!! You can't get them jetted right they make popping noises!! Give me a break.

The Pred is a high performance 500 sport quad that is awesome. The Z is a 400 sport quad that is also awesome. They are two different quads that are both excellent to ride and have a blast on. I wish I had a Predator also, but I wouldn't get rid of my Z to have it.
